CLAIRE DUFFIE

I grew up in Palo Alto, CA, where woodworking classes presented me with intrinsically motivated problem solving, a stark contrast to the high-pressure academic culture of the Bay Area.  I was excited by the chance to experience a totally new environment in college. Through Northeastern University, I spent my first semester in Ireland, studying at University College Dublin, and then came back to Boston for the rest of my undergraduate studies. I'm a fifth-year student at Northeastern and will graduate in May 2023 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I've worked in 6-month stints in mechanical design at two biotech companies and loved the fast-paced, creative problem solving.   I’m seeking a creative, collaborative team where I can put my mechanical design skills to good use.
